Fiorentina have agreed a deal with Villarreal for Borja Valero while Emiliano Viviano and Francesco Della Rocca have completed their moves to the Italian club.
Following a decision on a reported €7million (£5.5m) fee, former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Valero is now discussing personal terms with Fiorentina before signing a contract.
Goalkeeper Viviano and midfielder Della Rocca, meanwhile, have already signed, with the Palermo pair making loan moves after lengthy talks between the two clubs.
Fiorentina announced the Valero deal on violachannel.tv, saying: "Fiorentina and Villarreal confirm they have reached an agreement for the outright transfer of the player Borja Valero, subject to the signing of the contract by the same player".
Florence-born Viviano, whose loan contains the option for a permanent deal, claims he made financial sacrifices to return to Fiorentina, where he spent part of his youth career before leaving in 2002 in the wake of the club's bankruptcy.
"I took a pay cut to come here and I have to thank Palermo, who did everything possible to ensure my dream came true," he said.
