Reports emanating from Italy suggest that both Palermo and Fiorentina are intent on signing Miroslav Klose.
The Werder Bremen striker is currently showcasing his skills on the world stage for Germany, and his reputation has already been enhanced by a two-goal return in the opening day victory over Costa Rica.
Palermo and Fiorentina are both interested in bringing in the 28-year-old before the summer is out, but he remains contracted to Bremen until 2008.
The Bundesliga side are unlikely to consider anything less than a substantial offer though, following Klose's prolific form last season.
The forward netted 25 times last term and was an integral part of Bremen's charge to second place in the league.
The player himself also confirmed that he was unwilling to make any decisions on his future until after the World Cup.
"Let's see what happens in the World Cup and then I will think about what future I have," Klose explained.
