Zauli to leave Palermo

Lamberto Zauli has confirmed that he will leave Palermo in the summer.

Lamberto Zauli has confirmed that he will leave Palermo in the summer.

The veteran playmaker outlined how the Sicilian club have no intention of extending his current deal, and as a result he will be a free agent come June.

Zauli scored an important goal on Sunday as Palermo drew 2-2 with Chievo, although this does not seem to have changed the mind of president Maurizio Zamparini.

"There aren't the presuppositions to continue with Palermo," said Zauli.

"I take it as such from the club's scare interest in my contract renewal.

"We agreed on the fact I would have cut my salary by 15%, but the sign hasn't arrived, I'm sorry it will end this way."
