Empoli sign four

EMPOLI have swooped to sign four players inside seven days, as they look to build a squad capable of consolidating in the top flight.

The Serie A new-boys are desperate not to drop straight back out of the top-flight, and have added several new players in quick-fire fashion.

Brazilian forward Carvalho de Oliveira Amauri arrived from Piacenza earlier in the week and was swiftly followed by Parma reserve striker Gaetano Grieco.

Now the club has also snapped up defender Marco Malago, from Genoa, although his contract will be jointly owned by his previous side.

The fourth new arrival is Antonio Busce, who has emerged as one of the best players in Serie C for Lumezzane.
