New Major League Soccer outfit Orlando City have confirmed they are in talks about signing Kaka from AC Milan.
Orlando are due to begin playing in MLS next year, but are already making plans for the future and their main target has emerged as 32-year-old Kaka.
The club have now confirmed that 'advanced discussions' are under way with the former Brazil international forward.
“Orlando City Soccer Club is in advanced discussions with Kaka," a statement read.
"Pending completion of the potential player agreement, Kaka would join Orlando City SC in January 2015 prior to the club’s first season in Major League Soccer."
It is understood Kaka will also sign a contract with his first-ever club Sao Paulo on a deal that would take him through to early 2015, at which point he would then join Orlando.
