AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has confirmed that Adil Rami and Keisuke Honda will join the club in January.
The Rossoneri are planning ahead, with the winter transfer window not due to open until the turn of the year.
They have been able to put two deals in place, with both known to be in the pipeline.
Milan have been chasing Japan international forward Honda for some time, but have had to be patient as he runs down his contract at CSKA Moscow.
They have also been looking to bolster their defensive options, and have taken Rami from Valencia after seeing him frozen out in Spain.
The French centre-half will continue to train with Milan until a loan agreement is officially processed.
Allegri told Sky Sport Italia after a 3-2 defeat to Parma on Sunday which leaves Milan languishing in 10th place in Serie A, 16 points adrift of leaders Roma: "The January market? Rami and Honda will arrive.
"They are two players who will enrich our team, but if we want to climb up the table then we need to improve in the away matches and not commit the same mistakes."
