Inter Milan have confirmed their interest in Lucas, reiterated their desire to keep Sneijder, and hinted at the sale of Maicon and Pazzini.

Moratti to buy, sell and hang on to stars

Inter Milan have confirmed their interest in Lucas, reiterated their desire to keep Wesley Sneijder, and hinted at the sale of Maicon and Giampaolo Pazzini. Lucas Moura is one of the hottest properties this summer, and is also reportedly attracting the interest of Manchester United as Sao Paulo continue to hold out for around £30million for the playmaker. United are also amongst the names continuously linked with Inter's own playmaker Wesley Sneijder, but club president Massimo Moratti has vowed to keep hold of the Dutchman.

Fundamental

He said: "I think he's a fundamental player for us, despite the attentions of other clubs. If he is true to his word then Inter could have two of the most sought after creative players in their ranks, should their move for Lucas pay off. Moratti said of the Brazilian: "He has great attributes. We like him a lot as a player. "It's not always possible to sign everyone that you'd like to, but we will try and move forwards with that deal.
Sales
"There are also sales to do, then we will see what the coach needs." And two players who could be on their way out of the San Siro, however are Maicon and Pazzini. Maicon has been linked with Chelsea but Moratti seemed reluctant to let him go. "He is one of the strongest players, but we will see," he added. "As for Pazzini, when he's in form he scores goals. "But there are also technical and tactical needs that mean that we have to sell certain players."
