Striker resigned to the fact that he appears to be on his way out

Giampaolo Pazzini has reluctantly accepted that his time at Inter Milan appears to be coming to an end, with a summer move seemingly on the cards. The 27-year-old striker penned a four-and-a-half-year deal with Inter when he signed from Sampdoria in January 2011. He netted 11 times in 17 appearances during his first season with the club, but struggled for form last term and found the target just five times in 33 outings. Inter are now prepared to move him on, freeing up space in their squad for new recruits.

Decisions

Pazzini has reported back for pre-season training, but has been made aware that he does not figure in the club's future plans. "I think that the club have made their decisions and I believe that I am not part of the project," he said. "I'll look to work hard in an attempt to change their minds, but I have always been honest and I am being so now too." Reports in Italy suggest Sampdoria would welcome the opportunity to re-sign Pazzini, while Lazio are also understood to be monitoring his situation closely.
