Zamparini expecting defender to move after talks with Moratti

Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini says it is '99 per cent' certain that defender Matias Silvestre will join Inter Milan. Silvestre only moved to Palermo from Catania last summer, but is looking to change clubs again after also being linked with AC Milan. However, the Rossoneri's city rivals Inter look set to win the chase for the 27-year-old's signature in a deal which could net Palermo up to €10million (£8.1m) "I have met with (Inter president Massimo) Moratti," Zamparini told Radio Radio. "With regards to Silvestre we are on the same wavelength to reach an agreement. The chances that the deal will be completed are 99%. "He is set to leave for a figure of around eight to 10million euros." However, Zamparini has dismissed reports that left-back Federico Balzaretti could join Silvestre in leaving Palermo over the summer. He added: "He did not refuse to extend his contract with us. We met with his agent last week and we will agree for another three years, there won't be a problem."
