Milan won to go top of Serie A to keep the pressure on Juventus who play on Sunday. Chievo also picked up three points.

AC Milan went top of Serie A after a 2-0 win at home against Siena.

Antonio Nocerino put the hosts ahead in the 54th minute before Zlatan Ibrahimovic added the second from the spot in the 63rd minute.

Chievo beat Cagliari 2-0 to move above their opponents into the top half of the Serie A table.

Cyril Thereau and Gennaro Sardo scored the goals for the Flying Donkeys in front of a paltry crowd at the Stadio Bentegodi.

The home side also had two goals ruled out for offside as they deservedly took all three points against a disappointing Cagliari.

Fiorentina and Atalanta shared the spoils in Florence after a 1-1 draw.

Alberto Gilardino put the hosts ahead after nine minutes, before defender Andrea Masiello levelled in the 81st minute.

German Denis then put the visitors in front four minutes later, but the lead only lasted a couple of minutes as Stevan Jovetic rescued a point for Fiorentina in the 88th minute.
