Chievo midfielder uncertain of future

Chievo midfielder Kevin Constant has admitted it is an honour to be linked with a club such as Roma. The 23-year-old has had an impressive first season in Italy after joining Chievo on loan from French Ligue 2 side Chateauroux last summer. His performances have reportedly attracted the attention of Roma, who are likely to be on the lookout for reinforcements when the transfer window reopens following a disappointing campaign. Constant claims the interest is genuine and concedes it is flattering to be considered by a prestigious team like the Giallorossi. However, he is not certain what the future will hold due to the situation regarding his ownership. "Yes, I know. Roma have enquired about me," he told reporters. "It's an honour, a real pleasure. Knowing that I am being linked to such an important club gives me great satisfaction. "In my heart, I hoped that I'd have a season like this one, but it was a hope. To have managed to do it really is something else. I am happy. "We'll think about the future later. Chateauroux still own my rights, but Chievo will exercise their option to sign me."
