AC Milan have suffered a double injury blow with the news that Mathieu Flamini and Thiago Silva face a spell on the sidelines.
Both players sustained right knee injuries during Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to Ajax in the Champions League.
Former Arsenal midfielder Flamini has suffered ligament damage and will be out of action for up to four weeks.
Defender Silva, meanwhile, will travel to Brazil next week to undergo further tests after hurting his meniscus.
The duo are not expected to return until January and they will miss this weekend's trip to Bologna.
