Flamini has not always found it easy to hold onto a place in the Rossoneri starting XI since his move from Arsenal to Italy in the summer of 2008.

However, he has been in fine form so far this term, helping Milan to forge a three-point lead at the top of Serie A.

While Flamini's main focus is on maintaining his level of performance, he also feels he has unfinished business on the international stage.

The 26-year-old has not played for France under new boss Laurent Blanc but is excited about what the future might hold for Les Bleus and wants to be a part of it.

He told skysports.com: "I am having a very good season so far, hopefully I will continue to play like that.

"Hopefully that will help me join Les Bleus' squad for future games, although Laurent Blanc has never called me on the phone.

"To be honest I would join the national team with great pleasure. That team has the potential to be amongst the best again in the next big tournaments."
