Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati has ruled out a move to Palermo pledging his future to The Rossoneri.

Serie A new boys Palermo made enquiries for the Italian international as they search for a new goalkeeper.

Abbiati is happy to stay at Milan and admitted he would only considering leaving the Italian giants for a big club.

"I am staying right here," Abbiati told the club's official website. "I'd only leave the San Siro for a big European club.

"I am very happy with the offers and respect the teams who showed interest for me, but I am a Milan player."

Palermo's sporting director Rino Foschi also revealed that the club had failed in an ambitious swoop for Parma's Sebastien Frey after being subbed in their overtures for Abbiati.

"Talks were never opened. We only tested Milan's intentions learning that he is not for dale," said Foschi.

"Frey intimated the wish to aim for a top club that can't be Palermo."
