Juve win ferocious derby

JUVENTUS continue to crush all before them as they completed a league double over Torino in the Turin derby on Saturday evening.

The Serie A leaders comfortably beat their less illustrious neighbours 2-0 in a bad tempered affair at the Stadio Delle Alpi.

After their 4-0 win back in November, an own goal from Gianluca Comotto and an Alessio Tacchinardi strike two minutes from time was enough to ensure all three points for Marcello Lippi's side as four men were sent-off.

Juve's Croatian star Igor Tudor and Cristiano Lucarelli of Torino were first to depart as they received straight red cards for violent conduct just before the break.

Torino's Luca Mezzano was then dismissed for his second bookable offence on 55 minutes before Carlos Marinelli completed the walk of shame for Torino on 67 minutes.

The defeat all but condemns Torino to relegation and life in Serie B next season, while Juventus continue to keep their noses in front of Internazionale at the top of the table.

Milan's flagging scudetto ambitions were dealt a further blow as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Parma on Saturday evening.

Brazilian star Adriano scored the winner for Cesare Prandelli's side with 13 minutes to go at the Stadio Ennio Tardini stadium.

It was the former Internazionale star's 17th strike of the season as they go level on points with Lazio and keep alive their own Champions League ambitions.

The win gives Prandelli's troops their third straight victory in Serie, while Carlo Ancelotti's men have now only won once in their last seven games.
