GALATASARAY boss Fatih Terim is looking to his old club Milan to try and lure Portuguese World Cup midfielder Rui Costa to the Ali Sami Yen Stadium.

The former Rossoneri manager wants to take the injury-prone star on loan with the Istanbul giants, after the Milanese club showed their interest in Galatasaray and Turkey World Cup star Hasan Sas.

Terim believes Rui Costa would be an integral part of his squad but Premiership side Tottenham Hotspur are believed to have also made a firm approach for the midfielder, with Liverpool also being linked to the former Fiorentina man.

However, Terim looks have a tough job on his hands if he is to convince Rui Costa to come to Turkish football.

The Portuguese star stated that the Giuseppe Meazza faithful have not seen the best of him because of his injury problems last season.

Rui Costa said: "Milan haven't seen the real Rui Costa yet.

"I'll be like a new signing next year.

"I've been massacred by injuries, just ask the doctors and they will confirm it.

"Next season, Milan doesn't need a revolution, we just need to be a bit more lucky and avoid injuries to key players."

Terim has also expressed his interest in buying Fiorentina striker Nuno Gomes, who saw limited action in Portugal's ill-fated World Cup finals campaign in the Far East, making appearances coming off the bench.
