BRESCIA have completed the £3.3 million signing of Milan midfielder Federico Giunti.

"I am happy. This is a squad that can fight for something more than just Serie A survival," said Giunti. "This summer Milan have signed quite a few players and there was no more space for me.

"At Brescia I can play regularly in my role in front of the defence," added Giunti.

Brescia insist that Giunti's arrival does not spell the departure of their highly rated defender Daniele Bonera.

The 20-year-old, considered to be the next Alessandro Nesta, is being tracked by Milan.

However Brescia have not ruled out selling Bonera and are keen to bring Milan's Andrea Pirlo back for another loan spell.

Discussions between the two clubs regarding a loan offer of Pirlo plus £5 million cash in exchange for Bonera are believed to be underway.
