Lazio president Claudio Lotito has insisted that highly-rated playmaker Antonio Candreva will not be sold this summer.

Candreva, who is currently on World Cup duty in Brazil with Italy, has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico after a strong season at Lazio.

Reports in Italy claim Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are among the clubs keen to acquire the 27-year-old's services.

"Candreva is not for sale," Lotito said to Italian radio station Radio Due. "We have not spoken to anyone from PSG and we have not received any offers."

Candreva scored 12 goals and set up another six to help Lazio finish ninth in Serie A in the 2013-14 campaign.

He is under contract with the Rome outfit until 2018 but spoke at the weekend of his desire to play for a top club.

"A player's ambitions are to do good things and to play at the best clubs and to compete in the Champions League," Candreva said after Italy's 2-1 victory over England on Saturday in Manaus.

"I just hope to play a good World Cup, then I will be happy about what will happen."
