Nantes coach Michel Der Zakarian is disappointed but not surprised by the controversy surrounding striker Filip Djordjevic's exit from the club.
The 26-year-old Serbia international has reportedly refused to play in the club's last two matches of the season, or even train with the squad, ahead of a planned summer move to Lazio.
The Ligue 1 club have responded by cancelling his scheduled farewell to the fans at the Stade de la Beaujoire at Saturday's game against Saint-Etienne.
"It's a disappointment. I think the club have given him a lot, tried to help him be the best he can with us and on the pitch," Der Zakarian told L'Equipe.
"After that, he did not accept my choice and that is his problem. It does not surprise me, it is like that.
"There are those who forget, who have short memories."
Djordjevic has played nearly 200 league games for Les Canaris since joining from Red Star Belgrade in 2008.
