Germany duo ruled out

Pair withdraw from squad for friendly due to injury and illness

Germany duo Miroslav Klose and Marco Reus have both withdrawn from the squad to face Ukraine in a friendly on Friday.

Klose: Suffering with a knee injury

Lazio striker Klose has an inflamed tendon in his left knee which has ruled him out of the Kiev clash, while Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Reus is sidelined with stomach flu.

The German Football Federation have said Klose is expected to return for next Tuesday's friendly against the Netherlands, while Reus' involvement will depend on his condition.

It will mark the fifth time Reus has been forced to miss Germany matches because of health problems.
