Bayern Munich defender jets in for Parkhead talks

Celtic are poised to complete a loan deal for Bayern Munich left-back Edson Braafheid. As revealed by skysports.com on Sunday, the Bhoys have identified the Holland international as a man to bolster their defensive options. Manager Tony Mowbray is on the look-out for reinforcements and now looks set to fill the void left by Danny Fox's recent move to Burnley. Braafheid only joined Bayern from FC Twente last summer but has struggled to settle at the Allianz Arena and is now poised for a switch to Scotland. The 26-year-old has flown in to Glasgow to put the finishing touches to the proposed deal with the deadline in Scotland not arriving until midnight. His agent, Siggi Lens, told the Scottish Daily Mail: "We've just touched down in Glasgow to finalise this and a loan deal is something that appeals to Edson."
