Lazio are stepping up their search for a new defender before the transfer window closes.
The capital outfit are believed to have targeted a move for Juventus star Igor Tudor as they look to bolster their defence.
Tudor seems set to leave Juventus with the Italian giants willing to let the Croatian international leave the Stadio Delle Alpi.
Bolton Wanderers have been linked with Tudor, but it appears the player is not keen on a move to The Reebok Stadium after failing to arrive in England for talks.
Lazio could face competition for Tudor, with Parma and Siena both thought to be monitoring the defender's situation.
Another option for Lazio could be a surprise move for former star Fernando Couto.
Couto is a free agent after his contract at Lazio expired in the summer.
The Portuguese international has still to find himself a new club and Lazio could be ready to offer him a shock return to Stadio Olimpico.
Lazio are also thought to be keen on a move for Brescia midfielder Luigi Di Biagio.
The Biancocelesti are reported to have held talks with Di Biagio's agent, with the player considering his future at Brescia following their relegation from Serie A.
