Lazio have concluded the signing of Argentine defender Matias Lequi.The South American enjoyed a very good season with Atletico Madrid last season on loan from Uruguayan outfit Cerro.
Lequi has now agreed a three-year deal despite claims from Cerro that he is still contracted to them.
Lazio are not expecting any problems with international clearance and the player could be available for their clash with Brescia at the weekend.
"I'm really happy to finally be a Lazio player," Lequi the told club's official website.
"I thank the club and the president for the determination they showed for me.
"I'm looking forward to being at Mimmo Caso's [Lazio coach] disposal."
