LAZIO have officially revealed that they are fearing that contract rebel Dejan Stankovic could leave the club.
Stankovic's current deal at Stadio Olimpico expires next summer and he has been inundated with offers from at home and abroad as clubs keep reading about his situation.
The financial differences between both parties continue to obstruct the chance of him signing a new contract with Roberto Mancini's side.
Lazio supremo Luca Baraldi has now stated that talks are not progressing well with Stankovic, and they do fear that he could leave the capital.
"Only the future will tell us if Dejan will stay at Lazio," Baraldi said.
"If he won't stay with us, by not renewing the contract, we won't have any alternative. We must accept his departure."
It is the first time that Lazio officials have confirmed that such a valuable player could be set to leave the club, and shows how worried they are about the situation.
