LAZIO coach Roberto Mancini says he has no regrets about his side's achievements this season, despite the Roman giants` off-field problems.
The side from the Italian capital have encountered massive debts and failed to pay several of their players` wages for periods of the season, but have still managed to reach the semi-final of the Uefa Cup as well as keeping in the hunt for a Champions League place in Serie A.
Mancini said on his side's accomplishments: "For what my team expressed, probably we could have taken more points and could probably have challenged Juventus for the title this season.
"In this last period of the season there has been a little tiredness, but surely satisfaction overcomes regrets."
The much loved former Lazio striker also said he hoped his players would agree to Luca Baraldi's new salary plan to aid the club through their financial crisis.
"In this moment I can't make predictions, but I am still optimistic about the fact the players could agree with the club's new salary plan," said Mancini.
"And I wouldn't be so sure that Claudio Lopez, Jaap Stam and Enrico Chiesa won't agree to it in the end."
One player who has agreed to the new salary plan is Roberto Baronio, currently on-loan at Perugia, after meeting with club officials on Monday.
