LAZIO and Perugia are reportedly eyeing a swap deal involving Fabio Liverani and Roberto Baronio when the transfer window reopens.
Liverani, who missed the first month of the season through injury, is likely to miss the next few matches after being sent of in the Roman outfit's 0-0 home draw against Parma.
The 28-year-old was dismissed after only 35 minutes last Sunday for a reckless challenge, leaving the team to battle on for almost two thirds of the contest a man light.
It now appears as though Lazio coach Roberto Mancini has had enough of the former Perugia man's antics and is willing to let him return to his former club.
Coming in the opposite direction could be Baronio, who is currently out-of-favour with the club's president Luciano Gaucci.
Gaucci has been very public in his criticism of the 24-year-old this season for spending more time in the stands then on the bench and on the field.
Perugia snapped up the midfielder from under the noses of Lazio in a transfer-deadline day move, however it now appears as though he could well end up at the Stadio Olimpico anyway.
