STANKOVIC REUNITED WITH MANCINI

FIORENTINA have snapped up Dejan Stankovic from Lazio for £10 million - reuniting the Yugoslavian star with Viola coach Mancini.
Mancini was a team-mate of Stankovic at Lazio, before the veteran was offered a shot at coaching with Fiorentina.
Stankovic has proved something of an enigma at Lazio, capable of game-winning performances, but also culpable of a failure to perform in the key matches.
Former Red Star player Stankovic has agreed a three-year deal worth a reported £20,000 a week after tax - and will be keen to prove that his potential is not so far removed from his ability.
Meanwhile, reports of a swap deal that would bring Galatasary's Mario Jardel to the Artemio Franchi in exchange for Predrag Mijatovic look wide of the mark.
Mijatovic has under-performed for Fiorentina since arriving at the club, but, despite Jardel's desire to leave Turkey, would not accept a move to Galatasaray.
