PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot admits he ‘doesn’t know’ whether he will play for the club again, amid reports linking him with Serie A side Roma.

The 19-year-old has struggled to get into the Ligue 1 side this season, with manager Laurent Blanc preferring central midfielders Marco Verratti, Thiago Motta, Blaise Matuidi and Yohan Cabaye over the youngster.

With Rabiot’s future in doubt, the former Manchester City academy player admits he is unsure why a move to Rome failed to materialise in the summer transfer window.

“Roma was my choice and I thought that I would have moved there. I don't understand what happened to make the negotiations fail,” he told Canal Plus.

“AS Roma are a great club, now I'll wait to see what happens in the January market.

“I don't know if I will play again for PSG, I'm available for the coach and he will decide. Competition does not scare me, even in Roma there are so many great players. "

The teenager has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, notably Chelsea and Arsenal, and Roma coach Rudi Garcia admitted his side's interest in the highly-rated midfielder.

"Rabiot? We are interested in quality players,” Garcia said.

“Some are accessible and others not much. Until January he must remain at PSG, but then..."
