Atletico Mineiro have not made a move for Manchester City right-back Maicon and he is happy at the Premier League club, according to his father.
The Brazilian has been linked with a summer return to his homeland amid speculation City are planning a clear-out at the end of the season.
Maicon has made just 11 appearances for City this term, with injuries hindering his debut campaign at the club after joining from Inter Milan last August.
His father, Manoel Sisenando, says he is not aware of any interest from Mineiro and says 31-year-old Maicon, who is contracted at City until 2015, remains happy in Manchester.
He told Lancenet: "I received calls from Belo Horizonte (where Mineiro is based) asking if Maicon is there but he is in England.
"I'm not aware of any Atletico Mineiro interest for my son.
"He is happy at the club and has a contract until 2015. He was playing for the youth team to be match fit as he got injured recently.
"It's complicated to say what will happen but for now his focus is on Manchester. But we know how dynamic football is."
