Milan survived a scare to lead after their first leg tie with Brescia in the Last 16 of the Coppa Italia, while Livorno trail Arezzo.

Italian giants Milan came from two goals down at half time at home to Brescia to win 4-2 against the Serie B side.

Goals from Matteo Serafini (34) and Luis Maria Alfageme (37) looked like providing a shock upset until Milan rallied in the second 45.

Dario Simic began the comeback on the hour mark and Christian Brocchi (67) pulled the scores level.

Filippo Inzaghi (pictured) and Marco Borriello both netted in the final 15 minutes to give Milan the advantage after the first leg.

Two goals from Daniele Martinetti (35 & 60) gave Arezzo a 2-1 win at home to Livorno.

Andrea Giallombardo has given the Serie A side hope ahead of the second leg with a 66th minute effort.

Sampdoria have a narrow lead going into the second leg with a 1-0 win over Palermo, Emiliano Bonazzoli scoring the only goal on 78 minutes.

Vincenzo Montella netted either side of half time against Triestina as Roma take a 2-1 lead back to the Stadio Olimpico.

Lorenzo Rossetti scored Triestina's goal to keep them in touch in the tie.

Chievo hold the upper hand in their tie with Reggina after coming from two goals down late on to salvage a draw.

Strikes from Nickie Nielsen (26) and Palmiro Di Dio (37) had Chievo in control going into the final 15 minutes.

But Victor Obinna's penalty (75) pulled one back for the visitors before Paolo Sammarco levelled the tie with five minutes to go.

Simeone Lacopini's 45th minute strike gives Empoli a slim lead over Genoa.

Wednesday's results
Reggina 2-2 Chievo
Sampdoria 1-0 Palermo
Milan 4-2 Brescia
