Stricken Roma star Francesco Totti says his rehabilitation is going according to plan and is confident of being fit for the World Cup finals.
The gifted forward's World Cup plans were thrown into disarray when he broke his leg against Empoli in February.
Italy coach Marcello Lippi has vowed to give Totti every opportunity to prove his fitness and the Roma star is confident of making the trip to Germany.
"I have a big will to take part at the World Cup because this competition is really important," Totti told Sky Italia.
"My recovery plan is going in the best possible way, I'm increasing the work and my ankle is answering positively.
"I am motivated to make sure I go to the World Cup in good form."
Alessandro Del Piero is another player with an eye on Germany and the Juventus star has been informed his thigh injury is not serious.
Del Piero limped out of Juve's draw with Roma at the weekend and was immediately ruled out of the trip to Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League.
Scans taken on Monday showed just a strain and Juve expect the forward to be back in action in around ten days.
