Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi has ruled out a move for Roma striker Antonio Cassano.

The troubled Cassano recently saw contract negotiations break down at the Stadio Olimpico, prompting speculation that The Old Lady may move for him during the January transfer window.

But Juve chief Moggi has denied that the forward is currently part of his plans, saying: "As far as Cassano, nothing will happen in January. Cassano is the type of player that I would take in an instant, but I must also take into account the real needs of the team."

Moggi has also moved to dismiss stories that he played a hand in helping Giallorossi sign Shabani Nonda and Samuel Kuffour during the summer.

"It's been said that I suggested them, but Roma have enough experts that can do truly good things and do not have need for my help," he declared.
