Udinese came from behind to claim a 1-1 draw with Roma in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday.

The UEFA Champions League contenders looked like losing to relegation threatened Roma until a late leveller - which makes them favourites for the tie.

Roma, badly needing something to take their minds of their current plight in the league, took the lead ten minutes before the interval when Phillipe Mexes scored.

However, it was not to be victory for Roma as Udinese defender Valerio Bertotto struck.

Udinese and Roma are playing for the right to meet either Internazionale or Cagliari in the final.
