Zebina explains Juve choice

Jonathan Zebina says that his move to Juventus had nothing to do with the fact that former Roma boss Fabio Capello took charge in Turin.

The France stopper moved on a Bosman free transfer from Stadio Olimpico to Juventus, the same journey that Capello himself took.

The 25-year-old has insisted, however, that his decision had nothing to do with Capello, as he had no idea he would become the new manager - expecting Didier Deschamps to take the helm.

"My decision to come here is not tied to Capello," said Zebina.

"When I put pen to paper on the contract, I expected to find Didier Deschamps on the bench.

"I was in contact with many different clubs, but at the end of the day Juventus were the best choice for me.

"As for Capello, we get on very well and he is the ideal coach for a side that wants to win."
