ROMA president Franco Sensi has insisted that the club will sign Nicola Legrottaglie in the summer.

The Giallorossi narrowly missed out on the Chievo star this winter, but Sensi has insisted that Legrottaglie will arrive in Rome this year.

"We weren't able to buy him," admitted Sensi - after watching Roma impress in a 3-1 win against Bologna.

"But I am certain that we will complete the deal in the summer."

Inevitably Roma coach Fabio Capello was delighted to have sealed an important win - after a torrid few weeks for the club.

"It has been a good performance," said Capello.

"My team played well and we picked up an important result - because it came at a difficult time for us.

"At half time I was not satisfied because I felt we were playing well and only drawing.

"I told the team to keep playing as they were and they listened to me.

"The win is important for morale."

Bologna counterpart Francesco Guidolin admitted the right team won.

"We did not deserve a good result here, but after levelling we hoped for more," said Guidolin.

"We aren't playing well but this was always going to be a tricky game and Roma played very well."
