Inter Milan are close to completing deals for Marseille's Gianelli Imbula and Barcelona's Martin Montoya, according to Sky Italia.

Imbula, a 22-year-old France U21 midfielder, is set to join Roberto Mancini's side on a season-long loan with the view to a permanent move next summer.

Imbula is of interest to Tottenham although not strongly, according to Sky Sports sources, and is expected to become Inter's second major investment from France after they signed the Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia in a £24.9m deal.

Montoya, a 24-year-old Spanish right-back, is also set to join Inter on loan with the view to a permanent deal.

Montoya has struggled to force his way into Barcelona's first-team ahead of Dani Alves, making just eight La Liga appearances last season.

He is a product of Barca's 'La Masia' academy and played 67 times for the club in total, scoring twice.

Imbula played 38 times for Marseille last season and scored twice.
