Xherdan Shaqiri admits he will just have to make the most of a situation he is not necessarily happy with at Bayern Munich.

The Switzerland international winger requested a move this summer, but he was told to stay.

After seeing opportunities limited last season, Shaqiri was keen on playing more regularly elsewhere, but after being told a move was not on the cards and with the appearances still rare, he insists he is not going to rock the boat.

"I've still got a contract until 2016 and the club have already told me I won't be going anywhere so I've just got to accept that," the 22-year-old told Sport1.

"For as long as I am here, I will give everything I've got.

"I try to do my best in training and when the coach rewards me with appearances, like today against Hannover, then that's even better.

"I'm always delighted when I can start games, and I show that too, like I did this time.

"I think everybody could see how hungry I am to play football."

Shaqiri has started just three Bundesliga games this season, coming on in two others.

Juventus and Atletico Madrid were among the clubs who showed an interest in him in the summer.
