Inter Milan defender Fredy Guarin insists he is happy to stay at the club despite being heavily linked with a move away this summer.

Guarin was a reported target for the likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Zenit St Petersburg and Valencia among other European clubs.

The 28-year-old only penned a new three-year deal in March this year, but that did not stop him being targeted by a number of sides after helping Colombia reach the World Cup quarter-finals.

His agent has recently denied talk of the defender asking for an exit after a January switch to Juventus failed to materialise, while Guarin himself was keen to pledge his future to the club.

He posted on his personal Twitter account: "I’m really happy to be able to continue wearing this jersey. Forza Inter."
