Xherdan Shaqiri would not turn down the chance to play for Juventus after he was linked with the Italian champions.

The Bayern Munich playmaker has struggled to hold down a regular place since moving to the Bavarian giants from Basle in 2012, but an impressive World Cup for Switzerland, including a hat-trick against Honduras, has ignited interest in the 22-year-old.

Shaqiri declared that a move to an English Premier League club "would be an option" before the recent tournament in Brazil, and now Juventus are thought to have joined a list of clubs looking his way that includes Liverpool and Monaco.

"I'm having holidays and I don't know what will happen,” he told Tuttosport. “The only sure thing is that I have a deal until 2016 with Bayern. We will see in a short time.

“Juve ? I don't know if there are contacts with them or with Liverpool and Monaco. Surely Juve could be a good option so as Liverpool and Monaco. They are a big club, who wouldn't like to play there ? I'm a Bayern player but I wouldn't see Bianconeri as a step backward for my career."

Bayern are determined to hang on to Shaqiri, with sporting director Matthias Sammer recently claiming that the 2014 Bundesliga winners were not looking to sell the Swiss international.
