Partizan Belgrade starlet Lazar Markovic will not join Chelsea in January

Lazar Markovic: Reports of January move rejected by agent

The agent of young Serbian star Lazar Markovic has denied that the player will be leaving Partizan Belgrade in the near future.

The club and player recently denied reports that a deal had been agreed with Chelsea for the sale of the player after reports suggesting that a move was imminent, and the teenager's agent has confirmed such a stance.

"Away in January? I can assure you that he will not leave in the next transfer windows. Then we'll see"

"Markovic has a contract with Partizan until 2016," Fali Ramadani told calciomercato.it.

"Away in January? I can assure you that he will not leave in the next transfer windows. Then we'll see.

"Inter Milan interested? Until now no Italian club have contacted me, so I have not talked to any Inter official."

Markovic is already regarded as one of European football's brightest talents, and at just 18 already has six full international caps, scoring in a friendly against Chile last month.
