FC Porto midfielder Fredy Guarin is on the brink of completing an 11million euros (£9m) move to Juventus, according to his agent.

Agent claims signing will be confirmed later on Monday

FC Porto midfielder Fredy Guarin is on the brink of completing an €11million (£9m) move to Juventus, according to his agent. Guarin's future has been the subject of speculation this month but it appears the Colombian has decided on a Serie A switch. The 25-year-old's representative, Marcelo Ferreyra, claims the signing will be confirmed later on Monday. Ferreyra added that Porto and Juve have had to meet in the middle over a transfer fee, with both clubs lowering their demands.

Certain

He told O Jogo: "It seems certain at this point Fredy Guarin will be a Juventus player and today the news will be confirmed. "To reach the agreement both Porto and Juventus had to compromise. "The Portuguese club will get €11million and not €13m as they wanted, even if the amount goes up if he scores some goals. "In turn, the Bianconeri will pay €4m immediately, and not €2m as they had originally proposed. They will pay the other €7m next summer." Inter Milan were also thought to be chasing Guarin but the midfielder has previously stated he would only join Juve should he choose to leave Porto. The Colombian arrived at the Estadio do Dragao from Saint Etienne in 2008, helping the Portuguese giants to an impressive Treble last season.
