Fredy Guarin says his future will be decided by Thursday, stating that he will either join Juventus or stay at Porto.
That effectively closed the door on Inter Milan's chances of signing the midfielder who has spent three-and-a-half seasons at Porto.
Juventus have been long-term admirers of the 25-year-old Colombian, but his status as a non-EU player has caused problems for the Turin club as they only have room in their squad to register one more non-EU national.
A stumbling block could be a transfer fee however as Porto value the player between €13-€15million, whereas Juve are looking to pay €2million for a six-month loan deal, with a €9million buy-out clause in the summer.
Guarin told Colombian Radio Catena Nacional: "It will all be decided between now and Thursday.
"Either I continue playing with Porto or I will leave. If I do go, then I will leave only to join Juventus."
