Romanian to miss four games after striking Rossi
Inter Milan defender Cristian Chivu must serve a four-match suspension after hitting Bari's Marco Rossi.
The Romanian struck Rossi in the face 13 minutes into the second half of Thursday's Serie A clash, which Inter won 3-0.
The score was goalless at the time but the incident was not seen by match officials and Chivu escaped punishment.
A disciplinary panel has now reviewed video footage and found the experienced stopper guilty of violent conduct.
Chivu has been banned for four Serie A games, ruling him out of the upcoming fixtures against Roma, Juventus, Fiorentina and Cagliari.
