Recoba to leave Inter

Alvaro Recoba has announced that he will be leaving Inter at the end of the season.

Internazionale midfielder Alvaro Recoba has announced that he will be ending his long association with the club at the end of the season.

The Uruguayan playmaker has started just four times for Roberto Mancini's side this term and he admits he has become disillusioned by the lack of first team football.

The 31-year-old has spent almost a decade with the Nerazzurri but he insists his current exclusion from the first team leaves him with little option but to continue his career elsewhere.

"I am counting the days until the season ends because I haven't been given the chance to play and contribute to the team this season," Recoba told Radio Carve.

"It will be sad for me to leave Inter but I can't stay any more, it doesn't make any sense."
