Internazionale are interested in signing Hertha Berlin midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng, according to reports in the German media.
Inter have been tracking Boateng's progress in the Bundesliga this season and have been impressed with his performances.
They are believed to view the youngster as a long-term replacement for Luis Figo, who will leave the club in the summer.
Boateng is tied to Hertha until 2009 and coach Falko Gotz holds him in high regard, but a lucrative offer could be hard to resist for both the player and the club.
Hertha are well-known for their excellent youth policy, but they recently lost defender Christopher Samba to Blackburn, while Ashkan Dejagah is set to join league rivals Wolfsburg at the end of the season.
