Internazionale are sweating over the fitness of Fabio Grosso after he picked up a knock against Empoli.
Grosso picked up a thigh problem during Inter's 3-0 success on Sunday and he was forced off five minutes into the second half.
The Italian international is expected to undergo scans on the injury on Monday to find out the full extent of the problem.
Inter fear the injury may be a recurrence of the thigh problem which sidelined Grosso for a lengthy period earlier in the season.
Early indications suggest Grosso will be ruled out for the rest of the year.
Meanwhile, Inter are being linked with a move Empoli striker Sergio Almiron.
Almiron has impressed this season at Empoli and his performances have been noted by Inter's scouting staff.
Inter could face a fight for Almiron with the likes of Lazio, Fiorentina, Torino and Udinese all reported to be chasing the Argentine ace.
