PSV Eindhoven chief Ronald Koeman has revealed he is keeping a close eye on Maxwell's situation at Internazionale.
Maxwell, who worked under Koeman at Ajax, has struggled to nail down a regular place at Inter since making the move to Italy earlier in the year.
Reports suggest Inter could be ready to offload the Brazilian in January and Koeman has been alerted to the situation.
"Maxwell is not only a fantastic guy but also a fantastic football player; I've looked at his situation with interest," said Koeman.
"It will not be easy for him to return to Holland. But if we ever have the chance to sign him I will be open to that."
