Marco Materazzi has signed a new contract with Internazionale.
The defender's previous deal was set to expire in 2009, but he has now put pen-to-paper on a new and improved contract spanning until 2010.
Talks reportedly ran smoothly, with both Materazzi and Nerazzurri officials keen to settle on an agreement quickly.
Materazzi returned to training this week after taking a short holiday at the end of the World Cup.
The 32-year-old played a key role in Italy's World Cup triumph, but grabbed more headlines for being the one head-butted by Zinedine Zidane in the final.
