Argentinian defender Walter Samuel has stated that Internazionale must win the Serie A title this term.
Italian football is still coming to terms with the fact Fiorentina, Juventus and Lazio have been relegated to Serie B, while Milan will start the Serie A season with a 15-point penalty after all were found guilty of match fixing.
With the four big teams out of the way, the title race in Italy would appear to be a straight fight between Roma and Inter.
Inter have flattered to deceive on so many occasions, but Samuel feels the time is right for the title to return to the Giuseppe Meazza.
"This team could have won last season," he said. "So we want to win this season to end the supporters' wait.
"We have the same obligations and the same pressure because we are a big side."
