Fiorentina will keep record goalscorer Luca Toni and coach Cesare Prandelli, according to their president.

Luca Toni's 28 goals so far this season have made him the club's most prolific ever goalscorer, surpassing Kurt Hamrin and Gabriel Batistuta's old record, and have made him the subject of much transfer speculation.

His goals for La Viola have put Prandelli's side firmly in line for the fourth UEFA Champions League spot in Serie A, but president Andrea Della Valle has dismissed rumours that his key men might leave.

"I don't know why these groundless stories emerge at this time of the season," he told Sky Italia.

"They have no foundation and will have no fruition because they are absolutely false.

"The coach is happy here and recently renewed his deal, and Toni will stay too.

"UEFA Champions League qualification is a realistic dream, but we will only think about that after the Chievo match," he said.

The Artemio Franchi outfit have benefited from loan spells from Arezzo's left back Manuel Pasqual, Internazionale's goalkeeper Sebastien Frey and Milan's midfielder Christian Brocchi and Della Valle is determined to keep them at the club permanently.

"We will try to do everything to keep Frey, Pasqual and Brocchi," he said. "We will see, but I'm convinced we will be able to keep them."

Fiorentina are currently three points ahead of Roma in fifth spot and will want to cement their Champions League qualification in their last three games at Palermo, at home to Reggina and away to Chievo.
